Taiji (Yin-Yang) pendant: the heart of the bracelet

At the centre, the Taiji pendant sets the tone: in Feng Shui, harmony is not found in “all white” or “all black”, but in the constant adjustment between two forces that complete each other. Yin (black) speaks to inner calm, protection, rest and depth; Yang (white) brings clarity, drive, decision and forward motion. Here, the idea becomes wearable: the half-dark, half-light bead layout invites you to balance what you feel with what you do, without swinging to extremes.

Bagua disc: the 8 directions, the 8 forces

The large engraved piece is a Bagua disc, featuring the 8 trigrams from the Yi Jing (I Ching). In Feng Shui practice, the Bagua works like an energetic map: it helps you read where Qi flows, where it needs support, softening or clarity. Worn as a talisman, it becomes a personal compass—I return to centre, I orient myself, I choose my direction. It is also widely valued for grounding and protection in the traditional sense: feeling more aligned and steady through daily ups and downs.

A note for internal arts practitioners

For internal arts enthusiasts, the Bagua also echoes the “eight gates” of Taichi—a compass of movement and balance, where each intent is expressed with precision rather than force.

Small details that matter: Wood, Earth and Qi circulation

The finishing touches bring a strong “materials” reading: the wood beads and tassel add a Wood/Earth touch linked with nature, stability and a return to essentials. The tassel is not only decorative—it suggests circulation: in Feng Shui, Qi should move and renew itself, not stagnate. The bracelet is comfortable thanks to its adjustable closure; it fits most wrists with a length of about 16 to 20 cm (6.3" to 7.9"), with beads around 8 mm (0.31"). Weight about 18 g (0.63 oz).
